My Review: Rated 3 out of 5 stars
I can resonate with some of these poetry’s. Living with chronic body pain is horrifying. I have been living with Fibromyalgia for over 15 years. Waking up with muscle pain all over your body is painful and exhausting. To go to doctors who do not know what you feel and think it’s all in your head, can make anyone upset. Fibromyalgia is a final diagnostic when other autoimmune diseases are ruled out. It’s weird and complicated to live each day with muscle pain without doing extreme exercise.
These poetry’s go over all the pain, exhaustion, endless doctor appointments, side effects of all the medication, the author takes in order to live with Lupus. As you read you can feel all her pain through each word. I was exhausted of all the back and forth between doctor appointments. That in itself can put your life upside down. Some of these poetry’s were a little hard to understand as they were a mix of words thrown together explaining how the author is feeling. This poetry book will teach those who don’t know what it is to live with an autoimmune disease, how someone’s life is turn upside daily. Autoimmune disease is invisible to the eye, so don’t judge someone without knowing what they have to live through.

My Review: Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Won this book from GoodReads. It was an amazing mystery. This is the first book I have read from Denise and I really enjoyed trying to figure out who the murderer was. It was great how Skye’s family all work together to figure out who committed the murder, so that her mother wouldn’t get blamed for something she didn’t do. Was also happy that her friend and her husband were willing to assist in this dangerous unraveling of who committed that murder. I couldn’t believe that someone would do such a horrifying thing to someone else. It really sucks that people get away with murders on cruise ship. They should have a better tactic in order for these horrible crimes not to occur. I have seen many true story movies in which a murder or disappearance in a cruise ship has occurred. I was glad that they were able to make justice even if she was such a sour person. I really thought is was her ex-husband who killed her. He had many reason to get back at her. I loved that this book kept on having me guessing and figuring out what would happen next. Skye did an awesome job in interrogating people to find out if they had an alibi. You don’t want to miss this book.

Mermaids and booze make for a fun filled comic. Two mermaids and a sea witch run out of alcohol and decide to change themselves into humans to go in search of more booze. It was easy for Eez the sea witch to turn them all into humans, what they don’t realize is that Eez doesn’t know how to turn them back to mermaids. Pearl, Tooth and Eez enjoy there time on land.
On their first day on land they make a new friend at the bar. Vivi takes the drunk mermaids in not realizing who they were. Vivi was so kind to take three people into her home without knowing them. They were a handful but they got along very well. Eez starts getting depressed that she cannot turn them back. The mermaids need to adjust to life and find jobs. As it is hard for any regular person searching for a job without experience, they definitely ran into dead ends looking for work.
The cover of this book is so beautiful and colorful. The illustrations were great. The mermaids are each very different and diverse. They are carefree and not scared of showing their body or breast. Each one had different body types. Glad too see a diverse cast of characters. This comic novel had girl power, LBGTQ+, humor and depression. This comic included real life scenarios that we all could relate to in some form or another. You are going to enjoy the quirkiness of these fabulous mermaids.

This book was totally fun. I was laughing through out the whole book. I loved the whole witch situation and all the crazy spells. I completely understand Leigh and her love of book boyfriends we enjoy them and we get attached to them. I really enjoyed the whole plot and the desk played a huge part in making such crazy sex stories come to life. Can’t wait to pick up the second book.
