You can’t believe everything you hear! A single word can have many different meanings. And sometimes two words that sound alike can be spelled completely differently. Ptolemy the pterodactyl is back to show us all how absurd and fun language can be when homophones, homonyms, and tricky punctuation are at play!
No Reading Allowed allows children and their parents to laugh together while also learning something new. Perfect for baby gifts, birthday gifts, teacher gifts, and anyone who finds humor in the absurdity of the English language.
My Review: Rated 5 out of 5 stars
My favorite children’s book this year. I loved it. I love the diversity in the illustrations. The word usage is on point. It will get everyone who reads it tongue-tied. The illustrations are so fun and colorful. They have human characters, animals, and monsters. I love the inside of the cover with the animals on clouds reading books. This book also has a glossary for all the fun words in this book. I definitely learned some new words myself. Children will enjoy the funny images and image descriptions. This book is great for all ages. The kind of book we all need to have a few laughs along the way. I highly recommend this book. I received this book from Early Reads Sourcebooks for an honest review.
