Goodreads Blurb

Love. Lies. Murder. A lot can happen… COME SUNDOWN

Bodine Longbow loves to rise with the dawn. As the manager of her family’s resort in Western Montana, there just aren’t enough hours in the day – for life, for work, for loved ones. She certainly doesn’t have time for love, not even in the gorgeous shape of her childhood crush Callen Skinner, all grown up and returned to the ranch. Then again, maybe Callen can change her mind, given time…

But when a young woman’s body is discovered on resort land, everything changes. Callen falls under the suspicion of a deputy sheriff with a grudge. And for Bodine’s family, the murder is a shocking reminder of an old loss. Twenty-five years ago, Bodine’s Aunt Alice vanished, never to be heard of again. Could this new tragedy be connected to Alice’s mysterious disappearance?

As events take a dramatic and deadly turn, Bodine and Callen must race to uncover the truth – before the sun sets on their future together.

My Review

A story that all who read, will never forget. I could never imagine being in Alice’s position. She was kidnapped and tortured for over 20 years. As I read I felt all her sorrows, fear and helplessness. Unfortunately, stories like these do happened to real people. We need to be careful of our surroundings and never give up. The story was very good at first but then it went a little slow. After half way through the book my interest peaked and I started to unravel who Sir really was. I loved that Alice had a huge family who were a support system for her to come back to her old life. I rated 4 out of 5 stars.

My Review

Totally mind blowing and unexpected. It has a mixture of Gone Girl/Behind Closed Doors and Insidious the movie. Totally caught me off guard and I really didn’t expect the outcome. The book is so good, I couldn’t put it down. It’s a dark and vengeful story that love overcomes all obstacles. It will make the reader psychotic during and after reading it and will tear you apart, because secrets have a way of sneaking away through lies. Beware, it’s not exactly how it all seems, because doors when they are opened nightmares do become reality!! I rated 5 out of 5 stars.

Seven Days of Us by Francesca Hornak

Goodreads Blurb

It’s Christmas, and for the first time in years the entire Birch family will be under one roof. Even Emma and Andrew’s elder daughter—who is usually off saving the world—will be joining them at Weyfield Hall, their aging country estate. But Olivia, a doctor, is only coming home because she has to. Having just returned from treating an epidemic abroad, she’s been told she must stay in quarantine for a week…and so too should her family.

For the next seven days, the Birches are locked down, cut off from the rest of humanity—and even decent Wi-Fi—and forced into each other’s orbits. Younger, unabashedly frivolous daughter Phoebe is fixated on her upcoming wedding, while Olivia deals with the culture shock of being immersed in first-world problems.

As Andrew sequesters himself in his study writing scathing restaurant reviews and remembering his glory days as a war correspondent, Emma hides a secret that will turn the whole family upside down.

In close proximity, not much can stay hidden for long, and as revelations and long-held tensions come to light, nothing is more shocking than the unexpected guest who’s about to arrive…

My Review

I felt like a piece of me ended with this book. I couldn’t put the book down. Each page lead you to secrets of the Birch family and how as a family they overcame all that life threw at them. A novel full of life, love, courage and forgiveness will tear at your heart and make you a part of the family. Secrets in family usually don’t stay a secret and as they unravel it will tear the whole family up. But how they deal and accept the challenges and secrets will give the family strength, love and courage to love one another in good times and bad times. This is truly a remarkable book that has left a huge dent in novels for 2017. Highly recommend you be part of the Birch family and their quarantine. I rated 5 out of 5 stars.

Sparkles and shines with glitter on the cover .

My Review

I loved this colorful book. The cover with the glitter was a perfect idea. Very eye catching. My favorite was Harry the hamster. He stole the show throughout the book. He is so cute dancing with Candace. I had hamsters before, they are my favorite little noise makers. Candace loved to dance. At first she thought ballet wasn’t for her. At the end she pushed herself to learn and never gave up. Reach for your dreams no matter how far, difficult or unimaginable they are. I rated 4 out of 5 stars.

Goodreads Blurb

Trouble is brewing in Everly’s new caf’. Can she bag the culprit?

Life hasn’t been so sweet for Everly Swan over the past couple of years, but now that she is back in her seaside hometown and the proud owner of a little iced tea shop and caf’ right on the beach, things are finally starting to look up–until a curmudgeonly customer turns up dead on the boardwalk. With one of her hallmark glass tea jars lying right next to him and an autopsy that reports poison in his system, it doesn’t look good for Everly or her brand new business.

As the townspeople of Charm, formerly so welcoming and homey, turn their back on Everly, she fights to dig up clues about who could have had it in for the former town councilman. With a maddeningly handsome detective discouraging her from uncovering leads and a series of anonymous attacks on Everly and her business, it will take everything she’s got to keep this mystery from boiling over.

My Review

A new cozy mystery series that will leave you wanting some more tea to unravel the mystery. This novel has a fun cover that goes perfect with the plot and the characters. I also loved the catchy title. Thanks for the bonus tea recipes. Everly was a fun character to get to know. She is fun, strong, loving and never gives up. The victim was thought to have been killed by one of her teas. I loved how she tries her hardest to get people to come back to her shop and walked around town giving free tea. Grady is the new hot detective that is always there to help Everly through all her mishaps. When you snoop for clues, you might tip the killer on your findings. Can Everly find the murderer and survive to tell the story? I can’t wait for the next series. Grady and Everly might be getting cozier than expected.
