Review: Bawb’s Raven Feathers Vol IV by Robert Chomany

Goodreads Blurb

Bawb’s Raven Feathers is pure and simple. It kickstarts moments of self reflection and inner peace; drawing on nostalgia while pushing the reader to live in the present and dream of tomorrow. Alternating brief chapters of prose with perfectly rhythmic, adult rhymes, this book holds appeal for the masses.

My Review: Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thanks so much, Robert, for writing another exceptional book that made me feel more confident, patient, and grateful. These poems are so meaningful and helpful to everyone who reads this book. It made me realize that yes I can do something that I might have doubted I could have not done.Doubt lingers in everyone’s life, we just need to push it aside and show it that yes you can do it. Don’t let others judge or tell you that you can’t do something. Every single poem in this book reflected me and my thoughts that life at times could be hard to fit in or learn to grow. I will cherish every word you have written and hope to share it with others that at times, might feel like they can not go on. I love all your books because you leave a page for us to stop and reflect the things that we might have difficulties dealing with and after reading your reflection we could try to see how we could make it easier for us to fix what we might have thought was broken and not repairable. I send a smile in the wind for you everyday 🙂 I recommend you pick this book up.

Now he must somehow prove to her that she is his mate and his soul’s other half. How can he have a human for a mate? Can he keep her safe from Demons? Or is he her biggest threat?

My Review: Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Neeko and Gabby really stole my heart.I was taken to a world I don’t know much about, but immortals don’t seem so bad, especially if they are like Neeko. The book really grasped my attention, especially the first scene. I couldn’t put the book down. I felt Gabby’s struggles, hate, fears, love, and pleasure. This was the first book I read about demons, angels, and shifters. The plot was amazing, and the book was written where you can read both points of view of Gabby and Neeko. I love that Neeko was able to piece back Gabby by showing her love and not giving up on her. He wanted to show her that he wasn’t there to harm her but to be her mate. I loved that he was able to set up a number of dates in places that she wished she was able to go such as Paris and Ireland.I liked the way that Gabby transformed to what she was, which was’t a human but something else. Don’t want to spoil it because I want you to read it. If you love romance and books about angels, demons, and shifters, then you want to pick this book up. Thanks, Tiffany, for spicing up my day.

Review: Homeroom Diaries by James Patterson and Lisa Papademetriou

Goodreads Blurb

James Patterson introduces the best selling “illustrated fiction” format to teens! It’s “Middle School” for high schoolers!

In James Patterson’s first highly illustrated “diary fiction” story for teens, the mega-bestselling author’s most endearing and original teen heroine ever proves that everyone can use a helping hand once in a while.

Margaret “Cuckoo” Clarke recently had a brief stay in a mental institution following an emotional breakdown, but she’s turning over a new leaf with her “Operation Happiness”. She’s determined to beat down the bad vibes of the Haters, the Terror Teachers, and all of the trials and tribulations of high school by writing and drawing in her diary. And when life gets really tough, she works through her own moments of uncertainty through imaginary conversations with her favorite literary characters.

Cuckoo’s also got a nearly impossible mission: she, along with her misfit band of self-deprecating friends (who call themselves “the Freakshow”) decide to bridge the gap between warring cliques and “bring the Nations together”. Not everyone is so willing to join hands and get along, but Cuckoo never stops smiling… until one of her closest friends, pushed to desperation by a Hater prank, decides that enough is enough.

My Review: Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I totally enjoyed this books and the best part was that I got to personally meet James Patterson this past Sunday. This is such a great read for teenagers. It’s about a young girl who has had a tough life, and when she thinks it’s getting better, something else happens. Life is high school is very hard for most teenagers. Fitting in and being accepted is very challenging.Life is unexpected, and some teenagers really don’t know that bulling other people isn’t right. James became one of my best authors because he used Mr. Darcy as an imaginary friend.I love Mr. Darcy. The illustrations through out the book really illustrated exactly the images I was imagining as I read through the book.I was so sad when the book ended because I didn’t want the story to end, hopefully Mr.Patterson will make a continuation. I can not forget the book cover is just beautiful with those vivid colors. Definitely pick this book up or gift it to a teenager.

Laurel finds herself battling the past and good vs evil and she’s not sure which is more deadly.

My Review: Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Bravo Tonya. I was hooked on this book. It was totally hilarious, and the plot kept on twisting. I loved the orphan/taxi driver/mob granddaughter. As I read, I kept on trying to figure out who else was part of the mob, and the least expected person ended up being part of the mob. I loved how Tonya used the portal potty as a lost job and a great place for the mob to take over. I was horrified when she felt the finger, gross. She was definitely making some good money just driving someone back and forth. The cover fits the book perfectly. What better weapon than to fight out crime with a walnut? lol. I can’t wait to read Tonya’s next funny mystery book. I highly recommend you pick this book up.

Review:  Have a Nice Guilt Trip by Lisa Scott online and Francesca Serritella

Goodreads Blurb

Lisa Scottoline and Francesca Serritella are back with another collection of warm and witty stories that will strike a chord with every woman. This four book series is among the best reviewed humor books published today and has been compared to the late greats, Erma Bombeck and Nora Ephron. Booklist raved of the third book in the series, Meet Me At Emotional Baggage Claim , “readers can count on an ab-toning laugh session, a silly giggle, a sympathetic sigh, and a lump in the throat as life’s moments are rehashed through the keen eyes and wits of this lovable mother-daughter duo.” This fourth volume, Have a Nice Guilt Trip , maintains the same sterling standard of humor and poignancy as Lisa and Francesca continue on the road of life acquiring men and puppies. Ok, to be honest, Lisa is acquiring the puppies, while Francesca is lucky enough to have dates with actual men. They leave it to the listeners to decide which is more desirable and/or or easier to train.

My Review: Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This book officially wins five stars from me.This is the most hilarious book I have ever read. Lisa is an amazing author who could make anyone laugh with her jokes. I have never met Lisa but feel like I am her best friend after reading all those personal and at times embarrassing moments she had. Mother Mary is just the funniest and controlling mother, whom I learn to cherish throughout the book. Francesca is an amazing author who really loves and cherishes her family. The most funniest part that I couldn’t stop laughing was when Lisa had the rash and brought the butt cream in the airport. Lol. Thanks so much, Lisa and Francesca. I really enjoyed this book and will share it with all my friends.

Review: The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

Goodreads Blurb

Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten.

Insightful, bold, irreverent, and raw, The Fault in Our Stars is award-winning-author John Green’s most ambitious and heartbreaking work yet, brilliantly exploring the funny, thrilling, and tragic business of being alive and in love.

My Review: Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This book was definitely like a roller coaster that keeps on climbing, but everything that goes up must come down. It was a true love story that I will cherish forever. Hazel Grace and Augustus were two very strong characters who, while being ill, still kept their hopes and laughter’s alive. Even though John Green stated that he started the book and then stopped in between, it felt like every word just flowed easily. I fell completely in love with Augustus. Loved the way he spoke and how happy he always seemed regardless of how he really felt. The scene when Hazel was in the Anne Frank Museum and she was climbing all those stairs and had to stop to breathe made me see her willpower. She was going to make it through those stairs no matter what, even if that was the last thing she did. There were many ups and downs in this book. John didn’t hold anything back. I was so upset that Peter Van Houten was such a jerk. What is sad is that there are many people in this world who are bitter, and because of a loss in their life, they have been stuck in that moment with no will to move on. I could relate a little with this story. My grandmother had died from cancer. I saw everything that Chemo does to you and how your body reacts to all those horrible medications and treatments. It was sad to have seen Gus urinate on himself, the constant vomiting. It’s really hard to know that someone you love will be dying soon and that most of their motor skills are diminishing. I saw the movie before reading this book, so I feel that this book was so much better than the film, but it was still a great movie. I highly recommend you read this book even though I know mostly everyone has read it.

A fake engagement in front of 10 million viewers.
What could possibly go wrong?

To some people, a proposal in the Maldives would be an absolute dream. To Samantha Peters, it’s a certifiable nightmare. My Review: Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I won this book on GoodReads. From the very beginning, the story grasped my attention. The storyline felt like Beauty and the Beast, loving each other without knowing they loved each other. A man with a face that is frightened of others, but she saw his beauty regardless of the scar. I was very disappointed that the Sheriff got his way, but I was glad when his end came. I was very happy that Aedan got to save his sister and his love.

Won this book from GoodReads. This was such a hot and sexy book. There was a hot stud who was a veterinarian and motorcycle teacher. But Chloe’s secret was a story from the past that most people would never re-tell because of the effect it had on the person. I loved the book because it brought joy, love, butterflies in your stomach, and, in contrast, tears, sadness , anger, and sympathy. I liked the cover of this book bringing love and motorcycles together. It was a very short story but really kept my attention and wanted to continue reading to see  what was going to happen next. I recommend this romantic surprise story.

My Review: Rated 5 out 5 stars

Received this book from the author herself. This book brought me so many emotions from love, sadness, bravery, and fear. It goes to show that love can conquer anything, even go over people who will try their best to bring you down. The end of this book ended like a home run. Unexpected and with a thrill. I really enjoyed the forbidden love, but love always conquers everything. I really loved how Pamela wrote this story centralized with baseball. This was the first book I read about love and baseball. I recommend this book. It will have your emotions thrown in the game. Thanks, Pamela, for giving me a chance to read your book and review.
