My Review: Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It is a humorous middle-grade novel filled with Spanish words. If you are of Hispanic descent, you would have heard about the bloodsucker, the Chupacabra. A boy name Jorge is not having the best time after his mother sent him to New Mexico to stay with his grandparents. In school, he was bullied and had no friends he could count on. When he saw Carter the Chupacabra hanging out by a tree next to his grandparent’s house, he creates a strong friendship with this monster. Their friendship is so strong that they will risk their lives to help each other. The illustrations are fantastic, and the Latin moments remind me of my family, especially the flying chancletta. I had a great time reading this funny book. The book was filled with George’s hilarious jokes and his heritage. Children will enjoy this hilarious book.

R.L. Stine was celebrating 30 years of Goosebumps lasy year. I felt like I was stalking him for a two week period. I saw him at B&N for his book event and saw him 3 times at NYC Comic Con. I was excited to celebrate Goosebumps 30 years!!

My Review: 4 out of 5 stars

R.L. Stine is celebrating 30 years of Goosebumps with his favorite creation, Slappy the evil dummy. This book brings you back 200 years when Slappy was created by a sorcerer. I loved to learn about the creation of this evil character that has made an appearance in many of the Goosebumps novels. The second part of the book is Slappy being his evil self. My favorite was the third part of the book, because I was surprise at how all his evil plans didn’t work with the Carlton family. I was laughing everytime his evil plans didn’t play out. Fantastic cover with a well planned plot to celebrate 30 years of creepy reads.

I was dressed up in my best Goosebump outfit. Goosebumps shirt, skirt and sneakers.

If you could see the future, would you use it for the good of humanity, or would you use it to bring evil into the world? A frightening and twisted story that will have you guessing until the last moment. A family secret is so disturbing you will be utterly shocked. Two brothers will change the course of each other’s lives. A serial killer predicted the future and wrote his horrifying visions in a notebook, a book that still exists, and people wanted to get their hands on it. This story has a strong family bond, revenge, a frightening twist of fate, and a family connection you won’t see coming. It starts off slow, but once it picks up you’ll be blown away by the twists.
