My Review: Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Awesome Paranormal with a kick of Romance. Really enjoyed the way this story started. I was heartbroken to see Isaac so sad since he had to protect Cecily while having to lose her at the same time. It takes great courage to do what Isaac did to his soul mate. I loved the action in this book. I love it when the girl is the main character and gets to kick some bad guys butts. As you read, you go through so much emotion from love, hate, betrayal, defense, and protection. I could only imagine how hot Isaac really is. I could run into his chest anytime he wanted, lol. It’s a very short book with another book in continuation. Cecily is the only one left from the Dyphillum left that is able to breed. Another clan is trying to capture her in order to mix breeds, I guess, for ultimate power.

It is a heartwarming story based on Christmas, with characters who are insecure due to their tragic past. RaeAnne knows how to create characters who reflect on everyday issues people encounter in life. These issues are relatable, and readers can sympathize with them. She provides the readers with the personal struggles both Caidy Bowman and Ben Caldwell lived with.

RaeAnne is known for creating sparks between her characters. When Caidy and Ben first meet, there are fireworks, but the character’s arrogance puts a damper on the possibilities. Ben is a veterinarian who is a widower with two young children. Caidy has hidden away on her family ranch due to the horrifying deaths of her parents, which she takes the blame for.

The magic of Christmas will bring Ben and Caidy to a place of forgiveness, love, and happiness. They are both family-oriented and always looking to help others. Love can overcome the demons of the past. A story based on Christmas always brings the joy and the magic of the holiday season.

Author Biography

I’m not one of those people who knew from birth she was destined to become a writer. I always loved to read and throughout my childhood I could usually be found with a book in my hands. To the disgust of my friends, I even enjoyed creative writing assignments that made them all groan. But I had other dreams besides writing. I wanted to be an actress or a teacher or a lawyer.

Life took a different turn for me, though, when my mother made me take a journalism elective in high school (thanks, Mom!). I knew the first day that this was where I belonged.

After I graduated from college in journalism, I took a job at the local daily newspaper and I reveled in the challenge and the diversity of it. One day I could be interviewing the latest country music star, the next day I was writing about local motorcycle gangs or interviewing an award-winning scientist.

Through it all — through the natural progression of my career from reporter to editor — I wrote stories in my head. Not just any stories, either, but romances, the kind of books I have devoured since junior high school, with tales about real people going through the trials and tribulations of life until they find deep and lasting love.

I had no idea how to put these people on paper, but knew I had to try — their stories were too compelling for me to ignore. I sold my first book in 1995 and now, more than 30 books later, I’ve come to love everything about writing, from the click of the computer keys under my fingers to the “that’s-it!” feeling I get when a story is flowing.

I write full-time now (well, as full-time as I can manage juggling my kids!) amid the raw beauty of the northern Utah mountains.

Even though I might not have dreamed of being a writer when I was younger, now I simply can’t imagine my life any other way.

Can friendship withstand the test of time? This story of three friends finding their place in life will show you how ugly friendships can get. Ava, Madison, and Chelsea are living life to the fullest. Their friendship with Ava, who is quite needy, will change their lives forever. This story will take you down a rabbit hole of emotions and leave the reader questioning whether forgiveness is a possibility.

I could relate to this story because I have had past friendships that went sour. When you have a friend who tries to run every person’s life, it never ends well. This book brings up so many emotions of wanting to feel loved and wanted. Maddie was constantly looking for her parents’ acceptance and love. She tried to find that love with her friends and her followers. I connected so much with Maddie since I am also a fashion lover. I loved reading the parts about fashion. The romance between Maddie and Riggs was precisely what readers yearned for.

Jennifer delved right into developing characters that made this story come to life. She created a fun storyline with exciting opportunities for the future. She slowly twisted that happiness into a moment that will change the characters’ and readers’ lives forever. It was hard having to be present at the one moment that destroyed the four characters’ friendship, but the retelling of events drove an unexpected dagger to the heart. Forgiveness can bring you to a place of calmness, acceptance, and second chances. Will the time apart and discussing what happened help the characters find forgiveness, and how powerful is friendship? I would not have been so forgiving for the events these characters endured.
